The virus is a devil that must be denied a hiding place. The Chinese government has been providing timely updates on epidemic-related information in the spirit of openness, transparency and responsibility, responding to the concerns of various parties, and enhancing cooperation with the international community. The WHO plays an important role in coordinating global public health endeavors, and China values its cooperation with the organization. China welcomes the WHO’s participation in the epidemic control, and has hosted a field trip to Wuhan by WHO experts. China will work with the WHO and the international community to safeguard regional and global public health security. I am convinced that the WHO and the international community will make an objective, unbiased, cool-headed and rational assessment of the outbreak.
