China and International Development Association (IDA)

International Development Association was established in 1960 and is a member of the World Bank Group. China regained its seat in 1980 and became its Part 2 member (borrower). China's voting power in the IFC is 219,696, or 1.88% of total. Up to September 1999, IFC had provided USD10.2 billion interest-free loans (soft loans) to China. Up to the end of June 1998, it had executed 69 programs in China.
