On the evening of January 18, 2020, President Xi Jinping returned to China after a state visit to Myanmar.

On the afternoon of the same day local time, President Xi Jinping left Nay Pyi Taw for Beijing by a special plane. First Vice President U Myint Swe of Myanmar led several Cabinet Ministers to see President Xi Jinping off at the airport. Myanmar young people waved the national flags of both China and Myanmar to bid farewell to Xi Jinping. Four fighter jets of Myanmar took off to escort the distinguished Chinese guests.
