On May 6, 2012, Chinese Special Envoy to the Middle East Wu Sike met in Amman with Secretary-General of the Jordanian Foreign Ministry Mohammad Ali Al Thaher.
The two sides discussed preparations for the fifth ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) to be held in Tunisia at the end of May and exchanged in-depth views on the regional hotspot issues. A wide range of consensus was reached.
Wu said that China attaches importance to the efforts made by Jordan in handling regional affairs. Mohammad Ali Al Thaher noted that Jordan appreciates China's constructive role on the regional issues.
Charge d'affaires of the Chinese embassy in Jordan Chen Xingzhong was present at the meeting.
