Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao Meets with the Delegation of Czech Friendly Personnel

On March 26, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao met with the delegation of Czech friendly personnel which was invited to China by the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. The delegation was led by chairman of the Czech state governors association, Governor of the South Moravian state and first deputy chairman of the biggest opposition party Social Democratic Party (SDP) Michal Hašek and composed of the deputy chairman of the SDP and vice president of the Senate Zdeněk Škromach, deputy chairman of the SDP and vice speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Lubomir Zaoralek, governors of several states and famous entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Czech relations, China's cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe and China-EU relations. Song said that the healthy development of China-Czech relations serves the interests of both countries and the two peoples and hopes the SDP continues to make efforts to promote the healthy growth of China-Czech relations. Hašek spoke highly of the huge development China has achieved and noted that the SDP will, as always, respect China's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, stick to the one-China principle and play its part to improve and develop Czech-China relations.
