On March 14, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with Cristina Duarte, Cape Verde's Minister of Finance and Planning. Both sides exchanged views on issues such as China-Cape Verde relations, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), as well as the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. Duarte was visiting China at the invitation of the Ministry of Finance.
