Premier Wen Jiabao to Visit Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar and Attend the World Future Energy Summit

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Liu Weimin announces:

At the invitation of King and Prime Minister Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Vice President and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates and Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani of the State of Qatar, Premier Wen Jiabao will pay official visits to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar from January 14 to 19. At the invitation of the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Premier Wen will also attend the opening ceremony of the fifth World Future Energy Summit to be held in Abu Dhabi.

During his visit, Premier Wen Jiabao will hold talks and meet with leaders of the three countries, having in-depth exchange of views on the development of bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common interest. Premier Wen's visit will further boost China's relations with the three countries and push for the development of China's relations with Arab countries and the Islamic world. Premier Wen will also attend and address the opening ceremony of the fifth World Future Energy Summit, elaborating on China's policy of unswervingly following the path of sustainable development.
