Dai Bingguo Meets with Zambian Vice President
2011/12/16

On December 15, 2011, Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met with a delegation headed by Guy Scott, vice president of Zambia and vice chairman of the ruling Patriotic Front, in Beijing. Scott and his delegation were invited by the Communist Party of China.

Dai said the traditional friendship between the two countries, created by the older generations of leaders of the two countries, was hard-won and should be cherished. No matter how the situation develops, the policy of friendly cooperation with Zambia will not change, said Dai. China will work with the new Zambian government to further enhance mutual trust and deepen cooperation, so as to promote better, faster development of bilateral ties, Dai said.

Scott said the new government is willing to conduct candid and open communication with the Chinese government and promote bilateral cooperation.
