On November 3, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with Sierra Leone's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mr. J. B. Dauda, who is here for an unofficial visit.
Zhai, on behalf of Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, extended welcome to Dauda for his visit. He made positive comments on China-Sierra Leone relations and introduced the implementation of cooperation in various fields under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He said China cherishes the friendship with Sierra Leone and is willing to make joint efforts with Sierra Leone to constantly promote bilateral relations to advance at a higher level and in a broader scope.
Dauda thanked for China's support for Sierra Leone's cause of national construction, reaffirming his country's continued adherence to the one-China policy and willingness to further enhance political mutual trust and deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields.
