On October 26, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying met with visiting HSBC Group Chairman Douglas Flint. The two sides exchanged opinions mainly on the European debt crisis. Flint said that HSBC would like to use its expertise to help Chinese businesses with their overseas investment and will take an active part in the UK-China infrastructure investment conference to be held in the UK early next month.
