Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with Khalid bin Nayef al-Habbas, the Adviser to the Secretary General of the Arab League

On October 24, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with a delegation headed by Khalid bin Nayef al-Habbas, the Adviser to the Secretary General of the Arab League. The delegation was here in China at the invitation of the Chinese Secretariat of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.

Vice Foreign Minister Zhai said China-Arab friendship has a long history and against the background of the deepening world multi-polarization and economic globalization, both sides share broader common interests and are becoming increasingly interconnected with areas of cooperation expanding continuously. The Arab League, as an important regional organization, has long been playing an irreplaceable role in regional affairs. China is willing to further strengthen cooperation with the Arab League to push forward the China-Arab friendly relations and the building of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.

Khalid stressed that the Arab League attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to make joint efforts with China to continuously expand and deepen bilateral friendly cooperation in various fields and further enrich the connotation of bilateral strategic cooperative relationship.
