Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with Joint Press Delegation from African French-speaking Countries

On October 24, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with a visiting joint press delegation from African French-speaking countries. Zhai expressed welcome for the African media's visit to China, spoke highly of the development of China-Africa relations and introduced China's Africa policy and China-Africa pragmatic cooperation in various fields under the framework of China-Africa Cooperation Forum. He hoped that the African journalists will play an active role for further promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and African people and enhancing China-Africa exchanges and cooperation.

The delegation is composed of 25 journalists from 19 African French-speaking countries including Niger, Gabon and Cameroon. Besides Beijing, the delegation will also go to Hangzhou to report the eighth senior officials' meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and visit Shanghai.
