On October 14, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying met with Andrea Javor, Director General of the Directorate for Extra-European Bilateral Cooperation of Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. Fu spoke highly of China-Croatia relations. She is committed to further promoting the bilateral cooperation and deepening mutual understanding and trust and hopes Croatia plays an active role of building equal partnership and strengthening economic and trade cooperation between China and Europe. Javor said that Croatia attaches great importance to the relations with China and welcomes the investment from Chinese businesses. After accession to the EU, Croatia will be devoted to promoting the development of China-EU relations.

On the same day, Director General of the Department of European Affairs Li Ruiyu held the department-level consultations with Andrea Javor. The two sides exchanged opinions on the bilateral relations.
