Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping and Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Hold Consultations between the Two Foreign Ministries

On September 29, 2011, Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping and Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Nurlan Aytmurzaev held consultations between the two Foreign Ministries in Beijing. Both sides had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields as well as international and regional issues of common interest, and reached broad consensus.

The two sides spoke highly of the results of the development of the good-neighborly friendship and cooperative relations between the two countries, pledging to further keep closer exchanges at all levels, enhance mutual political trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation on economy, trade, security, culture and other areas and strengthen collaboration within the United Nations, Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other multilateral frameworks. They agreed both sides should take the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation next year as opportunities to push bilateral ties to a new level. The two foreign ministries will continue to maintain close communication with each other to make due contributions to the development of the good-neighborly and friendly cooperation.
