Jia Qinglin Meets with DPRK Premier Choe Yong Rim

On September 27, 2011, Jia Qinglin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Premier Choe Yong Rim, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, at the Great Hall of the People.

Jia said that in recent years, with the personal care of the leaders of the two countries and joint efforts by both sides, China-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations have been consolidated and developed and have effectively promoted their respective cause of socialist construction, playing a positive role in safeguarding regional peace and stability. Both sides have enjoyed frequent exchanges of visits between their leaders, strengthened strategic communication, expanding economic and trade cooperation and dynamic humanities exchanges. The two sides have also maintained good communication and coordination on major international and regional issues.

Jia said it is an unswerving policy of the CPC and the Chinese government to constantly consolidate and develop China-DPRK good-neighborly, friendly and cooperative relations. China is ready to work with the DPRK to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields and promote China-DPRK relations to a new level.

Jia said the CPPCC of China and the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland have maintained close exchanges and cooperation. He hoped that both sides will further strengthen exchanges, enhance understanding, promote cooperation and make a positive contribution to the development of China-DPRK relations.

Choe said the DPRK-China traditional friendship has been fostered by several generations of leaders in both countries and has been continuously consolidated and developed in the new situation. Choe said that the DPRK is willing to work with China to actively implement the important consensus reached by leaders of both countries, further expand bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields and make positive efforts in promoting social and economic development in their respective countries and maintaining regional peace and stability.
