From August 26 to 28, 2011, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Zhang Kunsheng paid an official visit to Peru at the invitation of Peruvian Deputy Foreign Minister Meier.

During the visit, Zhang met respectively with Peruvian First Vice President Espinoza and Foreign Minister Roncagliolo, and held working talks with Deputy Foreign Minister Meier. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral ties as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

Chinese Ambassador to Peru Zhao Wuyi attended the above activities.
