He said China places great importance on the development of bilateral relations and appreciates the Lao party and government for their long-term adherence to the one-China policy. China is ready to work with Laos to maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges, explore pragmatic cooperation in all areas and hold a series of activities marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties so as to build on their traditional friendship and to constantly add fresh content to the comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership they formed in 2009. He hoped both sides will remain forever good neighbors, good friends, good comrades and good partners. Jia said the CPPCC has maintained close, friendly communication with the Lao Front for National Reconstruction. He expressed hope that the two sides could strengthen exchanges so as to contribute to the development of bilateral ties.

Thongloun made positive comments on the progress of bilateral ties in recent years and thanked the CPC and the Chinese government for their long-standing support and assistance.
