2010/10/09

On October 9, 2010, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao held discussions with celebrities from Chinese and Turkish cultural circles in Istanbul.

"Diversity is one of the characteristics of the world culture. We have a bright world just because we have the colorful culture," said Wen. Wen said China and Turkey, both enjoying deep-rooted cultures, were now on the fast track of modernization and should make joint efforts to implement measures on cultural exchanges and boost bilateral friendship, as cultural exchange not only has excellent conditions, but also is of great significance.

Representatives from the cultural circles of the two countries talked about their thoughts and suggestions on bilateral cooperation in culture, education, journalism, film and television, and archaeological research, pledging to join hands to push cultural exchanges to a higher level and make positive contributions to China-Turkey strategic cooperative relations.
