Wen Jiabao Arrives in Brussels for Official Visit to Belgium

At about 11: 30 local time (17: 30 Beijing time) on October 4, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao flew into Brussels from the Greek capital of Athens by special plane for an official visit to Belgium. During his three-day stay in Brussels, Wen is scheduled to attend the eighth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) and the 13th China-European Union (EU) summit.

Senior officials from the Belgian government, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Zhang Yuanyuan and Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU Song Zhe greeted Wen at the airport.

Belgium is the second stop of Premier Wen's four-nation tour. He arrived here after concluding his official visit to Greece.

Upon Premier Wen leaving Greece, the senior officials from the Greek government, Chinese Ambassador to Greece Luo Linquan and other officials saw him off at the airport.
