On February 25, 2010, China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) signed an agreement on jointly building, managing and maintaining a new highway bridge over the Yalu River. The agreement was signed by Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Hailong and DPRK's Vice Foreign Minister Park Gil Yon, on behalf of the two governments, in Dandong, Liaoning Province.
