2012/08/16

A group of Asian and African ladies of the diplomatic corps in Geneva were treated with Chinese delicacies and a cultural feast at a luncheon hosted by Madame Yin Ai, spouse of Ambassador LIU Zhenmin, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland.

Madame Yin extended a warm welcome to the guests and introduced the artists from Ordos, a beautiful city of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China. The artists were on a performing tour in Europe. The artists presented traditional Mongolian ethnic songs, dances and musical instruments such as Morin Khuur and Mongolian Long-tune, drawing applauds and cheers from the audience.

"I hope today's performance forms a bridge of friendship and connecst China with other countries," said Madame Yin.

The lady guests expressed their appreciation to the Chinese Mission and the artists for bringing a wonderful performance and opening a window to Chinese culture.
