Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization Spoke Highly of the Progress in China's Intellectual Property Work

On March 10, Ambassador He Yafei met with Francis Gurry, the Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization. Mr. Gurry spoke highly of China's remarkable achievements in intellectual property work. He said that China's national fillings of trademarks and industrial design in 2009 have ranked the first in the World. China's international fillings of patent in 2009 increased by 19%, ranking the third in the world. China has become a shining model of the world in the field of intellectual property. Mr. Gurry also said that WIPO would like to strengthen its ties with China and help the world learn more about China's successful experience.
