On August 5, 2009, 17 Chinese students attending the Global Model UN Conference visited the Permanent Mission of China to UN office at Geneva. They came from Beijing University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Fudan University, etc. Ambassador Wang Qun extended a warm welcome to the delegation.

Diplomats from the Mission briefed the students on China's policies and activities in the fields of human rights, disarmament, as well as China's cooperation with UN office and other international organizations based in Geneva. They also answered questions related to issues such as the global governance, human rights, Sino-US relations, etc. The students made a presentation on the program of the Global Model UN Conference.
