Permanent Representative and Ambassador LI Baodong in a group photo with the visiting students and faculty
On June 23, 2009, a 36-member delegation from Center for Global Affairs, the New York University-School of Continuing and Professional Studies visited the Permanent Mission of China to UN at Geneva. This is the 6th consecutive year that the Chinese Mission, at the request of the United Nations Office at Geneva, received students delegation visiting the UN Office. Ambassador Li Baodong extended a warm welcome to the delegation and took a group photo with the students and faculty.
Diplomats from the Mission and the Chinese Mission to WTO briefed the students and faculty on China's policies and activities in the fields of human rights, disarmament, WTO, trade and development, as well as China's cooperation with UN specialized agencies and other international organizations based in Geneva. They also answered questions related to issues such as the characteristics of multilateral diplomacy, the global financial crisis, climate change, Doha round of multilateral trade negotiations, food security, the DPRK nuclear issue, human rights, etc.
