Permanent Representatives and Heads of International Organizations Signed Condolence Books in Deep Memory of Wenchuan Earthquake Victims (I)

On 19 May, the first day of the official mourning period announced by the Chinese government, many diplomatic representatives based in Geneva came to the Chinese Mission to express condolences to Wenchuan Earthquake victims.

UNOG Director-General H.E. Mr. Sergei Ordzhonikidze, IOM Director-General H.E. Mr. Brunson Mckinley, Director of the ISDR Secretariat H.E. Mr. Sálvano Briceño, Executive Director of South Centre H.E. Mr. Yash Tandon, Vice Secretary-General of UPOV Mr. Rolf Jördens signed condolence books, presenting sincere condolences and deep sympathy to the victims and their families.

Permanent Representatives of Russia, Japan, Ukraine, Finland, Switzerland, Cambodia, Zimbobwe, Somalia, Singapore and officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Brazil signed condolence books, expressing deep condolences to the victims of the Wenchuan Earthquake on behalf of their government and people.
