Honorable Vice-Chairman Erkin Tuniyaz,

Honorable Deputy Director Li Xuejun,

Distinguished guests,

Ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome to today's event.

Working creates a good life and promotes people's development in all aspects. As a basic human right, the right to work is critical. Adhering to a people-centered development philosophy, China attaches great importance to employment security. We fully respect the will of workers, protect their rights in accordance with law, and strive to ensure that everyone is entitled to a happy life and development through hard work. In China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, employment is prioritized and proactive employment polices are implemented. Xinjiang has taken every possible measure to create more job opportunities and help more people get jobs. These measures have played a crucial role in securing a complete victory in the fight against poverty and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects in Xinjiang as other parts of China. With their own hands, the hard-working people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang now enjoy happiness and fulfillment.

Some western countries and anti-China forces are simply unwilling to see a prosperous Xinjiang where people live in happiness. To pursue their anti-China political agenda, they fabricated blatant lies of the so-called "forced-labor" in Xinjiang, and taking these allegations as a pretext, some countries imposed unjustified unilateral coercive measures on relevant Xinjiang enterprises, entities and individuals in an attempt to deprive people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang of their right to work and a good life. By doing so, they attempt to undermine the stability in Xinjiang and retard China's development. What these countries have done have severely breached international law and seriously violated human rights. They are not only firmly rejected by the Chinese government and the Chinese people, but also opposed and loathed by all justice-upholding people in the world.

Today, friends from Xinjiang will share with us their stories on how UCMs imposed by Western countries have jeopardized normal business activities and legitimate rights and interests of companies  and violated the human rights of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. I am confident that today's event will help you see through the schemes of the Western countries on Xinjiang-related issues, and get a clearer picture of their true face of interference in the name of human rights.

Thank you.
